At 22:45 on BBC Radio 3 tonight (available on the web), Sarah Walker presents a concert given by the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra marking vivid Australian composer Gerard Brophy's 60th birthday. This is part of the 'Hear and Now' series. It includes the world premiere of his 'Guitar Concerto in Blue', a BBC co-commission with Symphony Australia, conducted by Clark Rundell and featuring soloist Craig Ogden. Also on the bill are Brophy's 'M√Ętho' and 'Colour red...your mouth...heart', and the UK premiere of Mary Finsterer's 'Sequi', played by the Arditti Quartet.
